Hallie has over 25 years of personal experience as a
coach, swimmer and triathlete. She started swimming competitively when
she was 9 and went on to swim for Washington State University for over 3
years. Hallie was both head and assistant swim coach for several age
group teams where she enjoyed working with all levels of swimmers. Her
love for the sport and passion in helping others achieve their goals
make her a great coach. Hallie’s positive attitude and natural ability
to inspire others make her a good fit for any athlete looking to improve
and reach the next level. Hallie has been a great role model and an
integral part of our triathlon team for many years.
Training and KnowledgeHallie is a USAT Level I certified triathlon coach. Hallie combines her
training and experience to help athletes prepare for all distance
triathlons. She has coached swimmers of varying skills and abilities
for both sprint and distance races. Hallie believes success in
triathlon is a combination of mental and physical strength and she helps
prepare athletes for both by drawing from her own triathlon training and
racing experience. Hallie prides herself on staying current on training
methodologies and is continually striving to be the best coach and
athlete she can be.
Personal Experience
Hallie is a lifelong competitive swimmer competing through the
collegiate level. The Danskin Triathlon was Hallie’s first race and
since then she has never looked back. She enjoys all distance triathlons
and has completed numerous sprints and olympic races with great success.
Hallie has placed first overall and in her age group in the Northwest
for many of her events and is a 2 time USAT All American. She really
enjoys the Half Ironman distance and has completed 10 Half Ironman’s
with a personal best of 5:03:58 at the New Balance Half Ironman in
Victoria BC. Hallie is a 6 time Ironman finisher with a personal best of
11:23:07 at Ironman Australia in 2009. Hallie’s strong performance and
3rd place finish in Australia earned her a qualifying slot to the
Ironman World Championships. Hallie had a fantastic race in Kona and
enjoyed the opportunity and experience to race amongst the best athletes
in the world.
